Job Title: Secondary Class / Subject Teacher (Science, Art & Commercial)

Role Overview
- The Subject Teacher delivers educational instruction to students in a specific grade level or subject area.
- They create lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment.
Roles:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the assigned subject to secondary school students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and respect.
- Act as a mentor and guide to students, encouraging their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to enhance the educational experience.
- Contribute to school activities beyond the classroom, such as extracurricular programs and committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning: Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Instruction: Use varied teaching methods and resources to explain concepts clearly and maintain student interest.
- Assessment: Design and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
- Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote improvement.
- Classroom Management: Maintain discipline and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student behavior.
- Student Support: Identify students needing extra help and provide additional assistance or recommend resources.
- Professional Development: Participate in workshops, training, and staff meetings to stay updated with teaching strategies and subject knowledge.
- Communication: Keep open communication with parents/guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
- School Involvement: Engage in school events, meetings, and activities that contribute to the school community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant subject area (e.g., Mathematics, English, Science).
- 5 years of work experience
- Teaching certification or license as required by the education board or country.
- Prior experience teaching at the secondary school level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the subject matter and curriculum requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use educational technology and digital tools effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and strong organizational skills.
- Preferably, applicants should reside within Egbe Idimu, Ikotun, Isheri Council, Ejigbo, Egbeda, Alimosho Local Govt.
Salary
N1,200,000 – N2,400,000 anually
0r N100,000 – N200,000 monthly.
