Job Title: Sales Executive

Locations: Onitsha – Anambra and Abia

Job Summary

  • The Sales Executive plays a key role in expanding Opay’s presence across key marketplaces and business clusters.
  • The role involves on-field sales and merchant engagement, driving adoption of Opay’s POS and payment solutions among medium-scale merchants to boost transaction growth and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and onboard medium-scale merchants in assigned territories (markets, plazas, shopping complexes, and business hubs).
  • Drive adoption of Opay’s POS and digital payment solutions to increase transaction volume and usage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants to ensure loyalty and sustained growth.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor merchant activity, address issues, and provide after-sales support.
  • Execute local marketing and activation strategies to increase brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on merchant acquisition, performance, and feedback.

Requirements

  • OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in field sales, merchant acquisition, or business development (preferably in fintech, banking, or FMCG).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Sound knowledge of local marketplaces and business communities.
  • Must be proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working on the field daily.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Basic Salary: N250,000
  • Performance Bonus: Up to N250,000 monthly (based on targets)
